Integrative Wellness Practitioner
For me, health and healing have always been deeply personal. My career as a chiropractor spans over 34 years, but it was my role as a caregiver for a family member with a traumatic brain injury that profoundly shifted my understanding of wellness. Supporting my loved one through chronic pain, despair, and a long recovery taught me that true healing requires more than treating symptoms—it’s about addressing root causes and empowering the whole person.
At Root and Reason Functional Medicine, I bring my wealth of experience and passion for holistic, preventative care to help others thrive. My background in sports medicine, gentle light force adjusting, quantum neurology, and Psych-K allows me to take a comprehensive approach to pain management and functional movement. I specialize in body awareness, stress reduction, sleep optimization, mindful movement, and nutrition, guiding clients toward sustainable, long-term health.
Living in Squamish perfectly compliments my active, community-driven lifestyle. When not supporting clients, I am skiing, biking, or spending time with my family in the breathtaking Sea to Sky Corridor.
I believe that health is a collaborative journey blending professional guidance with the body’s innate ability to heal. Through Root and Reason Functional Medicine, I am dedicated to helping clients unlock their potential and create a vibrant, fulfilling life.
For me, health and healing have always been a lifelong journey. With over 34 years of experience as a chiropractor and now as the founder of Root and Reason Functional Medicine, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside countless individuals on their path to wellness. But it’s not just my professional background that shapes how I practice—it’s the full, lived experience of navigating my own ups and downs, challenges, and growth that allows me to meet clients with understanding and compassion.
I know what it feels like to be disconnected, stuck, or simply not living at your best. My passion is inspiring change in those moments—helping clients reconnect with themselves, restore balance, and move toward a healthier, more vibrant life.
My training in sports medicine, gentle light-force adjusting, quantum neurology, Psych-K, and functional medicine gives me a broad, integrative toolkit. I focus on body awareness, stress resilience, sleep, mindful movement, and nutrition, weaving together strategies that address the whole person rather than just symptoms.
Living in Squamish keeps me grounded in the lifestyle I encourage my clients to embrace—active, connected, and in tune with the natural rhythms of health. When I’m not with clients, you’ll find me skiing, biking, or enjoying time with family in the beautiful Sea to Sky Corridor.
At Root and Reason, I believe that health is about more than fixing what’s broken—it’s about creating alignment, balance, and the confidence to live fully. My mission is to guide you toward a life where you feel energized, empowered, and deeply connected to yourself again.
